Sankofa African American Theatre Company believes we have the power to address climate change and protect our planet on and off stage. That’s why we are using theatre to creatively represent the facts about the effects of climate change, particularly in marginalized communities. Sankofa AATC is working to create cleaner, safer, and more just communities through a collaborative partnership with Climate Solutions. Climate solutions is a regional journalism collective that documents social responses and supports the journalism behind these stories with scientific evidence. These stories are used by Sankofa AATC as creative expressions to facilitate dialogue, motivate change, and engage people who are not commonly included in the conversation.
