Love. Hate. History. Framed together...Bridge (the gap) A spoken word, music infused new theatrical work exploring the divide between people and perceptions that leave lives hanging in the balance.
This powerful story explores the dividing and connecting effect when the secrets of past and dreams of the future collide. Bridges, both human and structural, are at the center of this epic journey of a young African American woman who returns to her small town birthplace to tie up the loose ends of her uncle's estate but ends up unraveling the ties that have held her together all her life. Learning the truth about her past and the community she thought was so safe now challenges her to rethink her decisions about her identity, her allegiance, and her lover.
