This groundbreaking “choreopoem” details the struggles of the modern black woman.

Through movement, song, poetry and spoken word, Ntozake Shange’s award-winning play, for colored girls who have considered suicide/when the rainbow is enuf, changed the landscape of modern theatre. Seven women of color tell stories of struggle, abandonment, pain, self-discovery, and sisterhood.

"A poignant, gripping, angry and beautiful work."
